"Livius Earth" impresses with its unique veining as well as a coloration in a strong purple tint. The marble processed in the STEINBILD "Livius Earth" was formed about 90 million years ago, when the connection between Tethys and the North Sea was found.

History of origins

Each STEINBILD tells the probably oldest story in the world - our earth history

At the time when this natural stone was formed, there was a connection between the Tethys and the North Sea. The sea level was 100-300 m above today's level.

Mineralogy

Rudists appeared for the first time and replaced corals in reef building. This was a major step in flora development. More and more cover-seeded plants developed, such as magnolias, willows and precursors of the lilies. At the same time, the first deciduous trees and grasses appeared and spread. At that time, Gallimus and Parasaurus appeared.
